Hiking up Inwang-san is hard! We went hiking there and I thought it would be easier than some of the taller mountains I had climbed in the past. It turns out that a tiny 338.2 meter mountain can kick some butt! Most of the trail was stairs or stairs carved into rocks. It was hot and there wasn't much shade, and we didn't pack as much water as we would have liked to drink. Once we reached the summit, we were all relieved! The way down was much much harder than we thought. So, it was by the time we were done, everyones' legs were dead except my Grandma's and my dad's. My maternal grandparents do hiking, golfing, and other stuff like that, so my grandma's done a lot of hiking. When we were done my grandma got ice coffee and we got a huge bottle of water to drink at a convenience store.
-On the way to Inwang-san.
-The beginning of the trail is bordered by castle walls from King Taejo's reign.
-The Blue House, where the Korean president lives. The South Korean equivalent of the White House. It is built here in this area because it is surrounded by mountains.
-I think this is some kind of checkpoint. There was a few along the trail.
-Almost at the summit!
-A marker at the top.
-A path on the way down.
-A bridge that is close to the bottom.
Thanks!
